Keyboard Latency Test measures the time from a key event reaching your browser to the next available visual frame. It gives a clear session view with current feedback time, median feedback, jitter, a live sample trace, target-key mode, and private export actions.
What is browser keyboard latency?
Browser feedback timing is the visible part of input response after a key event is delivered. It is useful for comparing the same browser and system conditions, but it is not a measurement of switch travel, raw USB reports, or total hardware latency. Use it as a transparent consistency check before a typing speed test.
How to check keyboard latency at a glance
Latency feedback measures
Key-event-to-next-frame time, median timing, and jitter between samples. A median across several presses is more meaningful than a single unusually fast sample.
Latency feedback does not measure
Physical actuation, USB transport, every operating-system delay, or application-specific response. Those parts occur before or outside the browser.
